The Great Spingolly
This rock song was recorded at Tepoe's home studio, and was inspired by a TV show. " I came up with the
main riff for this song messing around one day jamming on my
guitar. A day or two later I was watching one of my favorite
TV shows and in this episode a guy had eyes on the palms of
his hands and hypnotized some people, I thought now this
would be something different to write a song about, and it
ended up inspiring an album. I played mostly rock music
growing up and decided to put a couple of cover songs on the
album that I enjoyed playing back in the day. It took
several hours to record the album because I played all of
the instruments myself, but I had a great time doing so!"
Moonshine of Tennessee
This song was written and recorded by Tepoe to
commemorate growing up in the rural part of middle
Tennessee.
One Moment Without You is Like a
Thousand Years of Pain
This song is straight from the heart. Tepoe said, "There was
a time when I thought that I would never have a child or be
a father, but after meeting the girl of my dreams and
getting married, I was blessed with my son, Malcolm! I came
up with the melody for this song one day while I was
thinking about how blessed I was and how thankful I was to
God for making it happen. There's nothing that can brighten
your day and warm your heart more than seeing the smile of
your child, and it was from that feeling the words were
written for the song".
It's Going to Take Some Time
This song was written and recorded by Tepoe with the hope
that it would encourage someone who is going through tough
times. Tepoe said, " I wrote this song when I was going
through a troubled time in my life, and it just flowed out
one day when I was trying to cheer myself up. We all have
tough times we have to endure at some point in our life, and
sometimes there are no words that help, but if my song can
help someone feel just a little bit better then the mission
is accomplished!
We Need To Stop
This song was written with the wish of people coming
together to celebrate what they have in common instead of
fighting over their differences. Tepoe says, "I wish the
leaders of my country, the United States, would listen to
this song and put some meaning back into the word "UNITED".
I also hope that you enjoy this song, and it inspires you to
be a better friend to your neighbor. If we all could only
follow the golden rule "Love your neighbor as you would
yourself", the world would be a much better place!
My Home In Tennessee
This song was written by Tepoe's late father Malcom Nash
back in the 1960's, and although there was not an audio
recording made of it by his father Tepoe said he could
remember the melody from all the times his father performed
it for him. Tepoe says "This song is very special to me and
I just wish my father could have heard my recording of it. I
recorded from the memory of my Dad playing it for me. He
loved his home and family, and there's not a day that goes
by without me thinking of him. I love you Dad!"
